Weston’s Nick LaCava of the U.S. Olympic rowing team helped the men’s lightweight four boat to an improved performance in the first repechage round at Eton Dorney on Sunday.
The U.S. finished first in six minutes, 0.86 seconds, moving up four places from the previous day’s event. The team will now compete in the semifinals A/B round tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 31. The Olympics are being televised on NBC.
