Weston Public Library has summer programs for children

There are a variety of summer programs for children going on at the Weston Public Library.

Summer reading program for children who can read on their own. This year’s theme is “Ice Cream For Books.” Sign-ups are ongoing throughout the summer.

Handicrafts will be offered to children ages 7 to 9 on Wednesday afternoons at 4. Sessions will be held Aug. 1, 8, and 15. Children must be committed to attending two dates. No telephone registrations accepted. Sign-up sheets in the Children’s Room.

Lunch Bunch, meets every other Tuesday from noon to 1 in the Library Community Room — rain or shine. Ages 2 through 7 are welcome. Bring a bag lunch, drink and blanket. Enjoy stories, songs, prizes and movies. Dates are July 24, Aug. 7, and Aug. 21. No registration required.
