Weston’s Norfield Grange hosts Farm to Fork dinner

weston-lunch-dinner-meal-plSome good eats from area farms and local wine and cider will be served up at a Farm to Fork event being held Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Norfield Grange, 12 Goodhill Road.

The event is open to the public and celebrates the fourth season opening of the Winter Farmers Market at Norfield Grange.

The farmers market has become a weekly social gathering for friends and families in Weston and the surrounding communities, as well as visitors from afar.

The Farm to Fork event will feature light fare crafted from locally grown ingredients provided by farmers and vendors, and a Connecticut wine and cider tasting.

There will also be live music, local art, and area crafters. Proceeds will benefit the farmers market and the Norfield Grange Scholarship Fund.

Tickets for the event are $25 each and can be purchased online at wintermarket-ct.com.

At the Winter Farmers Market, people can purchase farm fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, jams and jellies, honey, maple syrup, goats milk cheese and yogurt, handmade soap and body products, natural beef and pork, wild-caught seafood, eggs, baked goods, prepared foods, live plants, and more.

There is also a Crafters’ Corner, featuring local artisans offering items such as hand-knit hats, hair accessories, boxwood wreaths and trees, fresh cut flowers, artwork, pottery, and jewelry.

The market is open every Saturday, Nov. 23 through May 3, from 10 to 2 at the Norfield Grange.
