NEWS ALERT: The Weston registrar of voters reported that Mitt Romney has won an overwhelming majority of Weston Republicans’ votes in today’s primary.
About 15% of Weston’s registered Republicans — 297 out of 1,944 — cast votes at the GOP Presidential Preference Primary on Tuesday, April 24.
There were 250 votes cast (84.1%) for Mitt Romney, the presumptive nominee; four people (1.3%) voted for Rick Santorum, even though he has suspended his campaign; 20 (6.7%) went for Newt Gingrich, and 17 (5.7%) voted for Ron Paul.
Six people (2%) voted “uncommitted.”
