Volunteers visit terminally ill patients and their families and provide them with emotional support, respite care and companionship. In training, hospice volunteers develop the skills necessary to work with patients and their families.
People interested may register by July 2 to participate in a five-session training course July 8-12 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the offices of Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County on Route 7 in Norwalk.
