My name is Charlie DiPasquale and I am co-president of Weston High School. You might remember me from 4 years ago when I spoke at our 8th grade graduation ceremony and my voice cracked about every other sentence. That was embarrassing, but I grew up so I promise I’ll try to get through these closing remarks as smoothly as possible.
First, I just wanted to once again thank all the parents, grandparents, and relatives who came to see us graduate today. It has been a long ceremony, sitting there in the heat, but having you all here is so important to us. And it’s almost over! Give it up one more time for the family.
We have all accomplished so much in various ways in our 4 years at Weston High and I am proud to be part of one of the most successful graduating classes in Weston history.
Most of us have all been together since kindergarten; learning, growing, and evolving, each year! And those students that came to Weston High School along the way, found a place right away. That is what makes our School so very special. This natural familiarity we have with each other has helped foster strong, lasting relationships that will become even more important in our future lives.
I hope everyone has savored their time here. As we go forward, Weston high school has helped to shape our outlook on life. Now use this experience to meet new friends and create new adventures. Don’t be afraid to branch out. Don’t be afraid to be great!
Congrats class of 2013! Please rise and join me with the turning of our tassels.
