With school ending and summer vacation upon us, a popular children’s activity will soon be starting at the Weston Library. Pajama Pictures returns for its fourth season.
Pajama Pictures shows “family friendly” movies on four consecutive Mondays in July in the library’s Community Room. Sponsored by the Friends of the Weston Library, the movie showings start at 6:30 p.m. and the Friends provide popcorn and water.
Children may come in pajamas if they like and may bring a pillow, blanket or sleeping bag to help them enjoy the movies in a fun, comfortable atmosphere. At least one parent must stay with their child for the duration of the film.
The Pajama Pictures schedule for this summer includes both well-known Disney animated movies and older classics.
The schedule includes:
July 1 — The Lion King: One of the biggest-grossing animated films of all time, featuring amazing animation, story, and music.
July 8 — Escape to Witch Mountain: 1975 Disney film about a set of psychic twins who desperately want to discover their origins.
July 15 — The Jungle Book: Classic Disney adventure about Mowgli, a young orphan boy raised in the jungle.
July 22 — The Sandlot: Warmhearted 1993 comedy, about a yound boy who has just moved into town and wants to play baseball
Pajama Pictures is free and open to the public. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
